Outdoor Learning Center for School Groups
Schools from across the southeast are invited to join us for an exciting adventure and education filled day in the Hickory Nut Gorge. Students may range from elementary through college students interested in learning more about the environment, their classmates, and themselves. Mountain Roots Outdoor Learning Center incorporates a wide variety of experiential activities to connect students to the natural world through an open environment for learning. Day programs are currently offered with the opportunity to combine a variety of activities. Sample activities that may be available include the following:

Sample Schedule for school groups:
9:30—Group arrives
9:30-10:00—Welcome & Opening (large group)
10:00-12:00—Activity #1 (with trail group)
12:00-12:45—Lunch (provided by the school)
12:45-2:30—Activity #2 (with trail group)
2:30-2:45—Closing (large or trail groups)
3:00—Group departs
