A series of several adventures may include Farms (local farm tour and seed planting project), Forest (exploring the local forests--navigation 101), Fun (creek exploration and/or naturalist hike), Friends (service opportunity), and Forever (a look at our actions towards a sustainable future).

Does your family homeschool? The Mountain Roots Ramblers program provides weekly opportunities for homeschoolers to engage in nature centered learning and play. This multi age adventure provides a space for regular experiences for children in the outdoors. Mountain Roots instructors are well-versed in experiential education and love guiding children on explorations of the natural rhythms of the forest, farms, and fields that surround us in beautiful western NC. Mountain Roots Ramblers is a community established and family-invested program where families have the opportunity to be involved on a monthly basis on the various adventures.
