Our Purpose: Mountain Roots is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing discovery and adventure learning experiences in the Southeast for groups and individuals to learn more about their environment, themselves, and their communities. Focus areas include: Sustainability, The Arts, Outdoor Adventure, Leadership & Community Development.

Leadership Programs and Retreats--Does your corporate group, sports team or community group need a retreat? We offer both day and overnight opportunities to get away. Our longest standing leadership programs are in partnership with the Brevard and Pisgah Forest Rotary Clubs. Check out these programs (RYLA & READ) in more detail at www.BrevardRotary.org. Pottery Camp--Thanks to all who joined us for pottery camp this summer. We look forward to hosting pottery camp again next summer. 2014 Camp dates: July 7-11 & 21-25. Our newest program, Roots Adventures, provides a series of activities for young adventurers and their families. Roots Adventures include five outings allowing individuals and their families to learn more about Farms (farm tour & food production), Forests (an overview of Leave No Trace & Wilderness Skills), Fun (a creek hike & navigation lesson), Friends helping Friends (Service project/gratitude day), and Forever (program wrap up and goal setting)
